YORK, Pa. (AP) - Eleven Pennsylvania couples are about to mark a total of 645 years of marriage in a ceremony at a retirement community.

The York Dispatch reported (https://bit.ly/Oknrmm ) Friday that the relationships of longevity will be honored with an event to renew their vows this weekend at Country Meadows of York.

Paul and Lorna Young have the longest-lasting marriage, 72 years and counting. He’s 93, she’s 92 and this will be the fifth time they’ve renewed their vows.

The Youngs say they tell younger couples to avoid deep debt and commit themselves to do good for one another. They say a strong religious faith is also a key element.
