ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Authorities are investigating two more dog killings in Santa Fe County.
The apparently shooting deaths of two pit bulls found Thursday morning are the latest of a series of cases in rural areas of the county in recent weeks.
Of the six dogs involved, five were killed and one was wounded by survived.
The Albuquerque Journal (https://bit.ly/Oiv7Wp ) reports that the latest case involves two pit bulls which were found tied to trees near a road between Lamy and Moriarty.
Sheriff’s Capt. Adan Mendoza says authorities are trying to find the dogs’ owners and determine a motive for the killings.
