WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont man involved in a home invasion and robbery of a 73-year-old man has been sentenced to one to 10 years in prison.

Thirty-one-year-old Joseph Morin of Springfield apologized in court Thursday in the assault last May. The victim was robbed of $750, hit with a gun and left covered in blood.

The Rutland Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1f2jk3o) Morin’s sentence will run concurrent to a sentence he is serving for selling Tylenol 3 with codeine.



Another suspect in the case, 27-year-old Eugene Meyette of Bellows Falls, has pleaded innocent and is awaiting trial on assault and robbery charges.
