NEWBURGH, Ind. (AP) - Two men and a woman face preliminary murder charges in connection with the death of a man whose body was found at a southwestern Indiana plant.
Authorities charged 30-year-old David John Lackey, Jr. and 22-year-old Jade Nicole Stigall, both of Boonville, on Friday with preliminary counts of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Twenty-five-year-old Shawn M. Grigsby of Evansville faces the same charges in the death of 35-year-old Joseph Nelson of Martinsville.
His body found was found Monday by workers in the coal-handling system of the power plant at Alcoa’s Warrick Operations along the Ohio River just east of Evansville.
The Evansville Courier & Press reports (https://bit.ly/1fhOIkz ) that at the time of their arrest, Lackey and Stigall were out of jail on bond for drug-related charges filed in December.
