DALLAS (AP) - Dallas police say they’ve arrested a man and woman believed involved in more than two dozen robberies in recent weeks where the victims were held up on driveways at their homes.
Fifty-one-year-old Charles Hunt and 27-year-old Santana Andrews were arrested Thursday night by officers responding to a 911 call about a robbery.
Authorities say when they tried to pull over the couple’s SUV, someone tossed something out a window. It later was found to be an empty wallet of a robbery victim.
Hunt is a convicted robber who got out of prison two years ago. Andrews a year ago pleaded guilty to a reduced check forgery charge.
Police tell The Dallas Morning News (https://dallasne.ws/1e3khNl) they may be part of a larger robbery ring.
