MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - Authorities have charged a Myrtle Beach couple with indecent exposure and obstruction of justice and say they are connected to the disappearance of a 20-year-old woman missing for more than two months.
Police arrested 41-year-old Tammy Moorer and her 38-year-old husband Sidney on Friday as they searched the couple’s home.
Investigators said the search was connected to the disappearance of Heather Elvis. She was last seen Dec. 17. Her car was found abandoned days later at a boat landing
But police didn’t give any details on what the couple might know about Elvis or how the charges related to her disappearance.
Neither suspect had an attorney at bond hearings on Saturday. Tammy Moorer told a judge police scrutiny has caused her to lose her job and bothered her three children.
