MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - It’s a day many likely don’t observe and probably haven’t even heard of.
But Ripley’s Believe It or Not in Myrtle Beach is marking World Sword Swallowers Day on Saturday.
Erik Kloeker demonstrates his sword-swallowing skills with a free performance at Ripley’s in downtown Myrtle Beach on Saturday afternoon. He swallows a sword at 2:22:14 p.m. to correspond with the date.
Kloeker is one of 20 sword swallowers who perform at Ripley’s locations around the world on Saturday.
A release from the attraction says that, in all, the sword swallowers will put about 125 feet of steel swords down their throats.
