GASTONIA, N.C. (AP) - Investigators say a 29-year-old man shoved a woman out of his truck at a gas station in Gastonia and then ran her over.

Authorities say the truck’s back tire rolled over the woman’s back Friday morning. They say she appeared to have broken some bones, but is expected to survive.

Police are looking to arrest Michael Reinhardt. He is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury.

Investigators haven’t said why Reinhardt attacked the victim.

Authorities locked down a nearby middle school as a precaution after Reinhardt drove away.
