GLEN BURNIE, Md. (AP) - Anne Arundel County police are investigating a stabbing near a shopping center in Glen Burnie and have charged a suspect with assault.
Police say officers were called to Johns Hopkins Bay View Hospital Saturday night for a stabbing that occurred earlier in the evening in the parking lot of the Chesapeake Square Shopping Center in Glen Burnie.
The victim, a 31-year-old man from Dundalk, said he had gone to meet his former girlfriend at the shopping center. That’s where he was confronted by a suspect he knew. After a verbal argument, a fight broke out, and the suspect pulled out a knife. Police say the victim was stabbed in his hip.
Police have arrested and charged 36-year-old Gene William Farr of Glen Burnie with assault and reckless endangerment.
