KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (AP) - Authorities in Kannapolis have arrested two men who they say broke into the same residence twice within three weeks.

Police said 20-year-old Kristopher Garrett Welch and 21-year-old Andrew Christopher Calamari face a number of charges, including felony larceny and first-degree burglary. Calamari also was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and larceny of a firearm.

Investigators said the two men broke into the home of Christopher Lee Ludwick on Sunday, and believe they broke into the home on Feb. 7.

In the latest attack, Ludwick says one of the men wrestled a gun from him and assaulted him. Police also said one of the suspects was shot in the leg.

Both men are being held in the Cabarrus County jail. It’s not known if either man has an attorney.
