DEER LODGE, Mont. (AP) - Corrections officials say two inmates at Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge died of natural causes over the weekend.

Department of Corrections spokeswoman Linda Moodry says Bruce Hamby died Saturday and John Anthony Costanza died Sunday of extended illnesses.

Hamby was serving a 50-year sentence for sexual assault and was eligible for parole. Costanza was serving 40 years for mitigated deliberate homicide and would have been eligible for parole in 2017.

Both men were sentenced in Yellowstone County.
