FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A Fargo man is facing a mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years in prison on a drug conspiracy charge.
William Russ is charged in federal court with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute at least 500 grams of meth. Authorities say he was involved in dealing meth primarily in North Dakota, Minnesota and Texas.
Court documents show that Russ was arrested after he was found sleeping in a vehicle outside a Fargo motel. A search found more than 118 grams of meth, about 42 grams of marijuana, more than 70 prescription painkillers and $16,000 in cash.
Russ pleaded guilty in September. Sentencing is scheduled for Monday afternoon in Fargo.
