DUBOIS, Pa. (AP) - A west-central Pennsylvania hospital network has renamed its four hospitals to stress their common brand.

The (DuBois) Courier Express (https://bit.ly/1cHwLsV ) reports Penn Highlands Healthcare has renamed the hospitals Penn Highlands Brookville, Penn Highlands Clearfield, Penn Highlands DuBois and Penn Highlands Elk.

The hospitals were previously known as Brookville Hospital, Clearfield Hospital, DuBois Regional Medical Center and Elk Regional Medical Center.

The network was formed when the Brookville, DuBois and Clearfield hospitals joined forces in September 2011. Elk Regional joined the network in July 2013.

The hospitals are located in Clearfield, Elk and Jefferson counties, all roughly 80 to 100 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
