ODESSA, Del. (AP) - State police have charged a Delaware man with trying to hire someone to attack two attorneys.

Authorities announced Monday that 28-year-old David Yarborough of Bear was arrested last week and charged with attempted assault, stalking and criminal solicitation.

Police say authorities received a tip last week from a concerned citizen that Yarborough wanted him to find someone to harm some people.

A detective then posed as a hit-man and contacted Yarborough. Police say Yarborough initially said he wanted an attorney killed, but later changed his mind, saying he wanted the attorney injured so badly he’d never walk again.

Yarborough allegedly told the undercover detective that the attorney recently represented him on criminal charges and indicated that he also wanted a prosecutor in the attorney general’s office attacked.
