SULPHUR, Okla. (AP) - The Chickasaw Visitor Center in Sulphur is displaying the artwork of two tribal members.

Brent Greenwood’s acrylic and mixed-media paintings blending tribal history and design elements will be on display through the end of the month. Greenwood says his art explores his identity as an urban indigenous person and he says he takes his inspiration from real life and everyday events.

Chickasaw artist Tracie Tuck Davis also has work on display at the museum. The work highlights local attractions and the Chickasaw Nation’s connection to the area.

Davis says his artwork - seen through paintings, sculptures, weaving and print making - is inspired by historical subject matter.
