BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police have arrested two New York City men after troopers found 1,000 bags of heroin in their SUV during a traffic stop on Interstate 91 in Brattleboro.
Troopers stopped a Ford Explorer driven by 33-year-old Johnatan Luna shortly before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and found the heroin along with some powered cocaine and crack cocaine.
Luna and his passenger, 34-year-old Terrell Springfield, also of New York City, have been issued citations for trafficking heroin, possession of heroin and possession of cocaine. They are being held at Southern State Correctional Facility on $25,000 bail and are scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court on Wednesday. It wasn’t immediately known if they have lawyers.
