LAS VEGAS (AP) - A brother lashed out in a Las Vegas courtroom at his 31-year-old sister during a hearing on charges that she killed his pregnant wife and unborn child in a knife attack last October.

The Las Vegas Sun reports (https://bit.ly/1hbvqwh ) that an armed courtroom marshal chastised Aristeo Indico for his verbal outburst during Monday’s court hearing for Elinor Malansing Indico.

Outside the courtroom, Aristeo Indico said that it was hard to control his anger at his sister.

Clark County District Judge Stefany Miley rejected a request to send Elinor Indico’s case back to a grand jury and scheduled trial Aug. 18 on murder, manslaughter of an unborn child and child endangerment charges.

Eleanor Indico has pleaded not guilty.

Her lawyer, Deputy Public Defender Norm Reed, says he’ll appeal Miley’s ruling.
