JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - The town of Jackson is getting ready to celebrate its 100th birthday later this year.

Mayor Mark Barron has signed a proclamation declaring 2014 as Jackson’s centennial year. A centennial committee is planning events that could include a party at the Snow King Hotel.

The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports (https://bit.ly/1cLTDrk ) Jackson residents voted on Sept. 21, 1914, to incorporate. The vote was 48-21.
