BALTIMORE (AP) - The unrelenting cold weather is delaying the start of boating season at two reservoirs.

The Baltimore Department of Public Works announced Wednesday that boating season at Liberty and Prettyboy reservoirs in Baltimore County will not open as planned on Saturday.

The department says ice on the boat ramps is preventing the opening. A new opening date has not been set.

Boating season at Loch Raven Reservoir is still set to opening April 1.

Baltimore city owns the three reservoirs.
