COLCHESTER, Vt. (AP) - The Colchester Police Department is warning residents to remove valuables from their vehicles after 30 cars were broken into overnight in the Vermont community.
Police say the break-ins took place in the Mallets Bay Avenue area near the Winooski city line and around Bean Road between midnight and the early morning hours Tuesday.
In addition to removing valuables, residents are urged to lock their vehicles and report any suspicious activity while it is happening.
Anyone with information about the Tuesday larcenies is asked to call Colchester police.
