DOVER, Del. (AP) - A Dover man has been sentenced to life in prison for dealing drugs.

Thirty-year-old Seanne Godwin was sentenced Wednesday trial in Kent County Superior Court. He had been convicted in December of drug dealing and conspiracy.

Godwin was arrested in 2012 when he was a passenger in a car that failed to obey a police stop and led officers in a chase. A loaded gun, marijuana and drugs were found in the car. Prosecutors say Godwin told police he had facilitated a drug deal.

Prosecutors asked a judge to sentence Godwin to life in prison as a habitual offender.
