NEW YORK (AP) - New York City police are looking for a suspect in connection with an attempted rape in Queens.

Police say it occurred on Sunday night as the 22-year-old victim was walking on 30th Avenue in the Astoria section.

They say the suspect approached the woman from behind and pushed her to the ground. Police say the suspect attempted to rape the victim but she fought back and he fled.

The woman refused medical attention.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
