Ala woman charged with having sex with boy, 13

DECATUR, Ala. (AP) - A north Alabama woman is facing charges that she had sex with a 13-year-old boy.

Authorities say 26-year-old Lauren Flowers Baker of Moulton was indicted on charges of statutory rape and second-degree sodomy.

Baker is free on $20,000 bond. Defense attorney Kevin Teague tells the Decatur Daily (https://bit.ly/NCnhFZ ) that Baker is maintaining her innocence.

Decatur police say the case was reported to them on Valentine’s Day 2013.

A grand jury indicted Baker almost one year later in Morgan County.
