NEW YORK (AP) - The NYPD is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted for a bias assault on a subway rider.

Police say the incident occurred on a northbound No. 7 train last Sunday.

They say the suspect approached the 43-year-old victim, punched him in the face and then made anti-Mexican statements.



The suspect fled at the Court Square Station in Queens.

The victim suffered a lacerated lip and bruises to the nose.

Police released a photo and sketch of the suspect and asked anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
