EL MIRAGE, Ariz. (AP) - A 32-year-old El Mirage man is in custody after being arrested in the strangulation death of his girlfriend.
El Mirage police arrested Jesus Octoviano Tober in the killing of 24-year-old Patricia Coat. Her body was found in an alley Friday morning.
Tober was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder and is being held in lieu of $1 million bond.
A police statement says a witness interviewed by police saw Tober assault the victim early Friday morning before the couple went into a home across the street.
Court records indicate Tober doesn’t yet have an attorney.
