WAIPAHU, Hawaii (AP) - Honolulu police are investigating a series of armed robberies in Oahu over the weekend.

Hawaii News Now (https://is.gd/k3Tmin) says attempted robberies were reported at two gas stations, one in Waipahu and another at Salt Lake.

Police say that shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday, witnesses at a McDonald’s in Waikele reported seeing a man going through the restaurant window, taking money and running off.

The man in that case is described as being slim, about 5-foot-8-inches tall and wearing a hooded sweatshirt.

Police say the descriptions for the suspect matches in each incident. Police add it’s not certain if it was the same man, however.

Police also are investigating an armed robbery at a Jack in the Box in Kunia early Saturday morning by a man wearing a ski mask.
