MARRERO, La. (AP) - Jefferson Parish sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and another wounded.
Deputies say they found the homicide victim, 39-year-old Tyrone Jenkins Jr., of Harvey, in the courtyard of a Marrero apartment complex Sunday night.
As officers responded to the call, they were flagged down about another gunshot victim. He was taken to the hospital and listed in critical condition.
Investigators said they believe both victims were shot at the apartment complex because a trail of blood led from the site of the homicide to the business where the second victim was found.
Detectives have yet to determine a motive or suspects in the case.
