NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Two Marine Corps Reserve generals in New Orleans are being promoted.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said Monday in a news release from the Pentagon that the president has nominated Brig. Gens. William T. Collins and James S. Hartsell for the rank of major general.

Collins is commanding general of the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing. Hartsell is commanding general of the 4th Marine Division.

Maj. Tammy L. Megow-Jones, a Marine Forces Reserve spokeswoman, says they will remain in their current positions.

Marine Forces Reserve headquarters are on New Orleans’ west bank.
