TROY, Mo. (AP) - An eastern Missouri man has been sentenced to three years in prison for a prank that caused $880 in damage to a middle school football practice field.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1kGHupG ) reports that 20-year-old Darrell Mozee II of Troy was sentenced Monday. He had pleaded guilty to felony property damage.
Mozee is already in jail for a burglary conviction. He is also charged with second-degree assault for a crash in August that resulted in an injury. Police believe Mozee had been drinking prior to that accident.
Mozee told police he was “being goofy” when he decided to drive his car onto the Troy Middle School practice field in September 2012. The judge ordered him to pay for the damage.
