BOSTON (AP) - A Rhode Island woman faces drunken driving and other charges in Massachusetts for allegedly driving the wrong way on Interstate 93 in Boston, stopping only when she struck a snowplow.

Police say 33-year-old Brenda Jarillo of East Providence, R.I., started driving north in the southbound lanes of I-93 in Quincy at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, causing a vehicle to spin out of control and crash into the median barrier. That driver was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say she continued north until she struck the state Transportation Department snowplow in Boston. The plow driver, who had beeped his horn and flashed his lights when he saw her vehicle, was unhurt.

State troopers say Jarillo was drunk.

She was in custody pending arraignment later Tuesday and could not be reached.
