MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - The Vermont city of Burlington will have an overnight parking ban for the entire city following the snowstorm.

The ban starts at 10 p.m. Wednesday. The downtown zone, which includes many streets from South Willard Street to the shorefront, will have a delayed ban starting at midnight.

Free parking will be available in the Market Place Parking Garage and the Macy’s Parking Garage lower decks but cars must be moved by 7:30 a.m. on Thursday or they will be charged for a day rate. Parking will not be allowed in municipal parking lots overnight during the ban.

Any vehicles violating the parking ban will be towed and ticketed with a fine of $125.

Montpelier, Winooski, South Burlington and Rutland will have their usual winter parking bans in effect.
