LACONIA, N.H. (AP) - Police investigating a number of suspicious fires in Laconia, N.H., have arrested a man on three counts of arson.

Jason Clairmont of Gilmanton was expected to be arraigned Wednesday.

The 36-year-old Clairmont is accused of setting a fire in September that damaged a parked car, and two fires on Jan. 25 on Highland and Academy streets. He was being held at the Belknap County Jail.

The local police and fire departments and the New Hampshire Fire Marshall’s office are still investigating other suspicious fires in the city.
