LOGAN, Utah (AP) - Utah State says 26 football players have committed to the Aggies, including 18 high school and eight junior-college standouts.

This is head coach Matt Wells‘ second class. He was promoted from offensive coordinator in December 2012 after Gary Anderson left to take the Wisconsin job.

The Aggies went 9-5 in Wells‘ first season. They lost to Fresno State in the Mountain West Conference title game, but came back with a win over Northern Illinois in the Poinsettia Bowl.

The group includes nine players from Utah, eight from California and four each from Florida and Texas.

Utah State’s class is heavy on defense, with 15 players on that side of the ball including six defensive lineman.

On offense, they brought in three wide receivers, two running backs and one quarterback.
