LAUREL, Miss. (AP) - The trial of Justin Barratt Blakeney, who is charged with capital murder in the 2010 death of a 2-year old girl, has ended in a mistrial.

Jones County Circuit Judge Billy Joe Landrum entered the order Tuesday after a sufficient number of qualified jurors could not be found. No new trial date has been set.

Landrum has granted a change of venue request to select a jury from outside Jones County because of news media coverage of the case.

Blakeney remains in the county jail without bond.

Court records show Blakeney told medical personnel that the child fell from a stool and hit her head. The child died later at a Jackson hospital. An autopsy showed the cause of death as blunt force trauma.
