WIGGINS, Miss. (AP) - A Stone County grand jury has indicted a minister and his wife on multiple charges alleging they exploited vulnerable persons living under their care.
The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1eWYPFR ) Rev. Allen Boone and Eunice Boone, of Petal, have been held at the Stone County jail since their arrests Nov. 20. The same day, state health department workers scrambled to find alternative housing for about two dozen vulnerable adults who were living in two personal care homes operated by the couple.
They have been indicted on 10 counts. Their arraignments are set for May 19 in Stone County Circuit Court. They each have bonds that total $613,000.
It was unclear whether the Boones have an attorney.
