SEDALIA, Colo. (AP) - A freight train derailment has shut down a highway in Douglas County.

Seventeen cars went off the tracks Thursday in Sedalia, but Sheriff’s Deputy Chad Teller said no one was hurt and that the cars were empty. All the cars remained upright.

The cause of the derailment wasn’t immediately known.

Colorado Highway 67 will be closed at U.S. Highway 85 until late Friday.
