PETAL, Miss. (AP) - Three months after the decision to contract with Waste Pro for its solid waste removal, the city of Petal has lost patience with the poor service it says citizens are receiving.

During its Tuesday meeting, The Hattiesburg American reports (https://hatne.ws/1bt9OGi) the Petal Board of Aldermen met with residents and Waste Pro Division Manager Bryan Stephens to discuss the issues that have occurred since the company took over the city’s garbage pickup.

After Stephens left the meeting, the board voted unanimously to give Waste Pro 90 days to clean up its act. If things don’t improve after that time, the board could decide to end its contract with the company.
