SAUCIER, Miss. (AP) - Harrison County sheriff’s investigators have arrested a Saucier couple accused of running a chop shop involving more than $250,000 in stolen property.

Sheriff Melvin Brisolara identified them as 36-year-old Herbert Edward Snell and 30-year-old Rebecca Nicole Pennington.

Brisolara tells The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/1etfhmv ) investigators suspect Snell led an operation that involved stealing vehicles, trailers and equipment, dismantling them and selling the parts across South Mississippi.

Snell and Pennington each face one count of operating a chop shop and five felony counts of receiving stolen property.

Bonds were set at $180,000 for Snell and $170,000 for Pennington.

It was unclear whether Snell and Pennington have attorneys.
