VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) - A Brandon woman is scheduled for trial Sept. 15 in Warren County for allegedly trying to kill her ex-husband.

Mary Lou Neely entered a not guilty plea before Circuit Judge M. James Chaney on Tuesday after being indicted last month for attempted murder and drive-by shooting.

The Vicksburg Post reports (https://bit.ly/1cVptCm ) that the 58-year-old Neely is accused of trying to kill Billy Dale Neely, 52, in a drive-by shooting on Dec. 2, 2013, while he was working on his vehicle in the carport of the home.

Sheriff Martin Pace says Billy Neely was wounded but recovered. Pace says the description the man provided led deputies to arrest Mary Lou Neely.
