PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (AP) - The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says it has charged an Aroostook County couple with trafficking bath salts.

Agents said they seized more than 3 pounds of the synthetic hallucinogen, along $6,760, a shotgun, a loaded 9 mm handgun and other drugs from their home in Woodland.

Arrested after the search Thursday were 44-year-old Lance Ellison and 41-year-old Kathryn Ellison.

Both made initial court appearances on Friday. An official at the Aroostook County Jail said Kathryn Ellison was being held on $30,000 bail while Lance Ellison was held on $100,000. It was unclear if they’d retained a lawyer.
