PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - Former Gautier police officer Robert Brian Hill has pleaded guilty today to three counts of sexual battery and one count of touching a child for lustful purposes.

The 20-year veteran law enforcement officer entered the plea Friday in Jackson County Circuit Court.

Circuit Court Judge Robert Krebs set sentencing for March 27.

The 47-year-old Hill faces up 15 years in prison on the count of touching a child for lustful purposes and up to 30 years on each count of sexual battery.

Prosecutors say the alleged incidents involved a minor under the age of 14 and occurred at different times between March 1 and July 3, 2011.

When Hill was arrested on Sept. 18, 2011, he had been a Gautier officer for 3 years.
