WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Wilmington police say a 16-year-old girl has been arrested in the shooting death of another teen last month.

Police said Thursday the girl is charged with first-degree murder in the Jan. 19 shooting death of 18-year-old Raequan Dupree Rouse. The teen also is charged with attempted first-degree murder and firing a gun into an occupied home.

Police spokeswoman Linda Rawley says detectives continue to investigate Rouse’s death.

A witness told police about 15 shots were fired during an exchange of gunfire.
