LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - A 58-year-old Wyoming man has been fined $70 after his malnourished dog froze to death.

Court records show Jim Mora, of Laramie, pleaded guilty on Jan. 21 to two counts of cruelty to animals in Laramie Municipal Court.

Each count carried a $35 fine.

City animal control officer Steve Amrine tells the Laramie Boomerang that the dog was found frozen to death during a period of cold weather in early December.
