WASHINGTON, N.H. (AP) - A snowmobiler has died in an early morning crash in the southern New Hampshire town of Washington.

Police say 62-year-old Peter Kavalauskas of Dover was snowmobiling with his son and friends early Saturday morning when he lost control and crashed into the shoreline on Millen Pond.

WMUR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1gWIFTQ ) that he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they responded to several other snowmobile accidents Friday and into Saturday.

Authorities say a man was seriously hurt in Winchester Friday afternoon after crashing in a field. Police say speed contributed to the crash.

In Brookline a woman also suffered serious injuries after crashing a snowmobile into a tree late Friday night.

Police say the woman was charged with suspicion of driving a snowmobile while drunk.
