ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Police say two guns, ammunition and a ballistic vest were stolen from an unmarked police car in Anne Arundel County.

Police say the car was parked in front of the Brooklyn Park home of an off duty Anne Arundel County police officer. The officer parked the car Thursday and when he returned Friday morning he discovered the driver’s side door and the trunk ajar and the items missing.

The stolen items included a department-issued Colt 223 rifle and a Sig Sauer SRT 40 caliber service weapon. They were being stored in the trunk and out of view.
