TOMAH, Wis. (AP) - Police say a man who accidentally shot himself in Tomah could face charges.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department says it got a call Sunday afternoon from a man who reported being shot. The call then disconnected. A second call was placed, but no one was on the line.

Tomah police responded to the apartment where the call originated. By that time, the man arrived at the local hospital. He was stabilized and flown to a La Crosse hospital. His condition is not known.

WKBT-TV (https://bit.ly/1hP4y72 ) reports police say the man is a felon and shouldn’t have had a gun. The case if referred to the district attorney.
