Who knew that worldwide demand for a Rubber Band Machine Gun was so high?

Alexander Shpetniy, a design student at the National University of Lugansky, has raised over $100,000 in pledges on Kickstarter for his creation, which can dispense 672 rubber bands in just 48 seconds.

The dimensions for the Rubber Band Machine Gun guarantee its owner superior firepower in any rubber band fight. The toy features 16 separate barrels and fires 14 shots per second at a range of 26 feet. Video on Kickstarter shows Mr. Shpetniy unloading a flurry of rubber bands on targets, putting out candles and knocking over desk clutter in the process.

Bad reviews for the toy are hard to come by. One reviewer lamented that it required the use of five AA batteries, but in the end still deemed it the “weapon to end all office supply wars.”

The last day for submitting pledges on Kickstarter for the toy is Jan. 17, 2014.
