GARY, Ind. (AP) - Indiana State Police are asking for the public’s help for information regarding a rush hour road rage incident on Interstate 80 in Lake County.

The say the shooting occurred in eastbound lanes of I-80 east of Cline Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. CST Wednesday when a middle-age black male with very short hair and driving a silver or gray Dodge Ram 1500 pickup allegedly shot at a red 1999 Dodge Ram pickup.

Police say the suspect driver had been yelling at the victim and a short time later the victim heard a bang and discovered he had been shot once in the upper back. The gunshot was not life-threatening.

Police say people who may have information are asked to call Detective Mike Bailey at 219-690-0039.
