PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - A gang task force has fanned out across the greater Portland area to pick up 10 people indicted on federal charges that include conspiracy to distribute cocaine and related counts.

The Oregonian reports (https://is.gd/w8IRUJ ) that federal prosecutors say several of those arrested Wednesday are accused of using homes and apartments in the metropolitan Portland region to receive, conceal, package and distribute the cocaine.

The newspaper says two of the 10 defendants pleaded not guilty Wednesday afternoon to charges of conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

A trial date was set for March 18.
