TROUTDALE, Ore. (AP) - Four lost hikers were safely escorted down a trail late Thursday night to Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge.
The Multnomah County sheriff’s office says the Portland-area woman in their 20s were unhurt and in good spirits.
They were hiking from Wahkeena Falls to Multnomah Falls Thursday when they walked down a trail that ended in a washout. They turned around but couldn’t make it out before darkness fell. They didn’t have a flashlight, so they called for help.
